ART HOUSE

This summer, I launched a tiny library project in Annapolis, called Art House. It's a quirky take on the neighborhood lending library, based on books and baubles that explore art and creativity. Every few months, a new theme and a new mini-exhibition will be presented. I'm so excited to share this project with the community -- it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time, as a gift for our street and folks passing through.

During COVID lockdowns and home-schooling, these little libraries that dotted our community became supremely important to us. They helped us pass the time and provided a much-needed light-hearted connection—a respite from the pandemic. I asked my friend Jeremy, a local sculptor and dear friend, if he would help me create a whimsical box that would delight and inspire. A place where unexpected joy might bubble up. He did just that! Thank you, Jeremy- grateful for your kindness and talent!.

This collaboration is a bespoke experience. Along with books, creative games, and art kits, Art House Annapolis includes a miniature white cube gallery space. You can find Art House Annapolis at the top of S. Cherry Grove Ave. behind the new hotel (1313 West). Come explore and spend a moment. There's always something to see and discover. Better yet, share your comments, pictures, and ideas with me by emailing meg@budinthebloom.com. Do you have ideas for installations? Let me know here in the comments.

Big love,
Meg
